Okay, how many of you got new camera equipment for Christmas (stuff bought with gift cards count)? How many were for digital equipment? How many for film? That's what I thought. Everyone's into digital. The question is, how far in have you jumped? Is that a high end point and shoot or a DSLR that you are using? I imagine that many of you have gone to the DSLR by now. Those who haven't are probably thinking about it. I know I am.
With that in mind, we will be seeing more digital related programs at our future meetings. Check out our program on digital cameras and learn more about your camera. We plan to have more such programs in the future. Of course, we'll continue to have other programs relating to photo technique, like the upcoming portrait workshop.
I just learned that Herbert Keppler, a longtime columnist for Popular Photography, has passed away earlier this month (January, 2008). Keppler's column was popular with a lot of photographers. His tips, reviews, recommendations and opinions were enjoyed and welcomed by all of us each month. He will be missed.
Bob Kulon, a member of the Cuyahoga Photographic Society, will have an exhibit at the Butler Institute
of American Art from
February 24, 2008 through April 15, 2008. Bob will be available at the Butler the opening day afternoon. Photographs to be displayed were taken during a six day expedition to California's Eastern Sierra Wilderness. You can learn more and see more of Bob's work and his workshops at his website at www.bobkulonphoto.com.
