As I am writing this, Christmas is fast approaching. Who has a new camera waiting for them under the tree? The learning curve can be overwhelming. Today's digital cameras can do all orts of amazing things. Our first meeting of the New Year will help you explore your camera's potential. Learn what all those features are and what they can do.
We will also be exploring lighting and how we can put it to best use to improve our photography. Whether it is natural light or artificial light, learn to use it to your advantage. You will have a chance to practice some techniques and then put them to use during our Model Shoot.

As the weather gets nicer, we will go outdoors and practice outdoor photography, including sports photography. Weather conditions may necessitate a change of venue, so be sure to check your email near these dates.

We've tried to put together a schedule of programs this year to help you improve as photographer. After each workshop, we will get together and view and critique your photos and discuss what was right and what could be done to make improvements. This is a valuable component in the learning process. I hope you take full advantage of it. And don't be afraid to voice your opinion of other photos. It is a much more enjoyable and productive discussion when more members get involved.
